March Madness for Cord Cutters

March Madness 2016 is starting this weekend.  Here is how to watch every game without cable or satellite.  All the games are going to be shown on either CBS, TNT, TBS, or truTV.  CBS is free over-the-air with an antenna.  TNT, TBS, and truTV are available on Sling TV.  Sling TV is streaming TV service that is as low as $20 a month with no contract.  Normally truTV is available for an additional $5 with the Liftstyle Extra add-on pack.  This month though they are giving you a free preview of truTV with the basic $20 package so you can watch the NCAA tournament.  Thanks Sling TV.

To watch Sling TV on you home TV you will need either a Roku, Amazon FireTV, Google Chromecast, Android TV, Channel Master, or ZTE.  Sorry Apple TV owners.  My recommendation is to get a Roku.

Another way to watch all the games is with the NCAA March Madness App.  The app is available on IOS, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon FireTV, and Google Chromecast.  You will need to have a login from cable or satellite provider though to watch the TNT, TBS, and truTV games (the CBS games doen’t need a login).  If you know someone that has cable or satellite and they share their password with you then you can watch all the games on the app.  I did find that Comcast isn’t a login option to watch the games.  Comcast said that they automatically authenticate the NCAA March Madness App if your internet is from Comcast and you have their TV service.  But I think it was meant to stop the sharing of the Comcast passwords for March Madness.
